Silver Obidome (Fayage) [Nandina]

■Size: Approximately 1.5cm long x 4.4cm wide x 0.65cm high / 3-part string

■ Description "Fayage" means leaf in French, and this adorable design is based on the Art Deco style and features a nandina (a plant used to ward off evil spirits) motif. Our craftsmen cut out the original shape with a jigsaw with precision. The more you look at it, the more you realize how intricately it is finished. This obidome can be enjoyed in two ways, with different patterns on both sides.

This project was created by WGD Kyoto, which disseminates information about "exquisite products that combine Kyoto's traditional craftsmanship with modern design," and up-and-coming product designer Fukusada Ryosuke.
